The GrowShapes team is looking forward to participating in the Bay Area Makers Startup Weekend (7/12-13) at The Tech Museum in San Jose. The weekend is geared towards hardware and software developers. This is an opportunity for makers, such as engineers, product developers and inventors, to see a demonstration of how 3D printing and scanning can be used in prototyping new product ideas.
The makers will get a chance to see desktop 3D printers, such as the Afinia and the Makerbot, in action. They will also get to see examples of the quality of output of our industrial Mcor IRIS 3D printer, which is unique in printing in true color and uses eco-friendly paper for input.
For those makers who need to reverse engineer their design, or perhaps prototype tied to several other designs, GrowShapes will also be demonstrating our DAVID 3D Structured Light Scanner (SLS). This provides high quality resolution scans at a fraction of the price of other scanners, as its cost is under $3,000.
The Bay Area Makers Startup Weekend should be blast. We hope to see some of you there!
