HP aims to democratize 3D scanning

Among the large displays, autonomous cars and cool gadgets, new 3D scanners were on show at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017. Sprout Pro G2 is not aimed at precision scanning like the DAVID SLS-3 scanners, but this integrated 3D scanning functionality provides endless possibilities for users to quickly share information, ideas and research as a 3D digital scan. It can empower developers, researchers and students to start thinking about how to maximize the potential of 3D scanning. Obtaining object data in real-time has never been easier as this state-of-the-art 3D application allows anyone to transfer a real life object to the 3D application within minutes.
