Growshapes visited Open Technologies in Brescia, Italy last week to get trained on the amazing 3D scanners they produce, namely Cronos (industrial), Aurum (smaller objects) and Insight3 (handheld). These different 3D scanners are tailored for different applications to ensure optimal results in 3D scanning.
The different 3D scanners are all controlled by the Optical RevEng software that has advanced capabilities not only in capturing accurate point clouds, but in mesh manipulation as well.
Take a look at the complex organic shape Cronos 3D managed to scan. The mesh manipulation has cool features like offset and invert, hence you can recreate the insides of the long pipes which is usually impossible to 3D scan!
