The modular DAVID 3D Structured Light Scanner (SLS) works well both in the office and on the go, especially for prototyping, reverse engineering a design, or even quality assurance inspections.
All the components can easily be transported in the original DAVID 3D scanner box. However, if you are on the move quite frequently, you might want a more rugged container.
GrowShapes Customer Support Engineer, Edgar Aguirre, found that a Pelican case does the job well. GrowShapes is using the Pelican 1500 case for our DAVID SLS scanner, which can be found here.
Edgar, whose travelling also includes airline flights, even found a mobile carry-on case, the Pelican 1510 which will fit in the overhead airline bins, which can be found here.
For cushioning each of the DAVID 3D scanner components within the case, you also want to be sure to order the foam option.
